About Triple Threats and Beyond

HISTORY

Founded in 2015, Triple Threats & Beyond started as a podcast masterclass, touching every aspect of the entertainment industry. From recording, producing, music directing, costuming, orchestrating, writing, performing, tech, television, film, to the theatre, there is no topic that has not been covered by prestigious guests.

MISSION

Triple Threats and Beyond stemmed from wanting to provide equal access to people in the entertainment industry. The goal is to EDUCATE, EMPOWER, and ENCOURAGE listeners while connecting them with their favorite Broadway (and beyond) Stars.

TT&B has created a space where the Broadway community and industry dreamers can continue to grow, learn from, communicate with, and support each other. TT&B continues to strive to obtain award-winning guests in order to get the best education possible for all listeners.

Unlike other podcasts, industry guests do not pitch their show, book, record, or other promotional items, but rather share their knowledge of the industry. From audition mistakes to navigating the business, and lessons learned throughout their journey, our podcast educates, empowers, and encourages our listeners every step of the way.

What started as a dream in a home in Virginia has manifested into 5 seasons with over 140 prestigious guests, many of whom have won Emmy, Grammy, Tony, and Academy Awards among other prestigious nominations and awards.

MEET THE FOUNDER

Roy George is an arranger, composer, music director, pianist, podcast host, vocalist, and vocal coach. He was raised in Syracuse, NY, and has immersed himself in the arts since he was 4 years old.

By the time he was 14, Roy was hired to music direct his first show. Since then, he has performed on various stages coast to coast as well as on NYC cabaret stages and off-broadway.

When he isn't performing or music directing, Roy has taught in the Special Education Department of an intermediate school and learned about trauma-informed learning and more.

As a survivor of Short Bowel Syndrome (SBS), Roy is an avid patient advocate and has spoken at medical conferences across the nation. He has produced and written benefit concerts for local charities, including the Make-A-Wish Foundation. As a miracle kid, there is no limit to what Roy can accomplish and he has worked hard to set himself up for success with everything he does.
